Rekha Panwar
Scientist
Rekha is a trained microbiologist with an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences and a master's in Medical Microbiology from Queen Mary University of London. She is currently completing her PhD at Imperial College London, focusing on beneficial gut bacteria and their role in protection against diarrhoea and certain infections.
At Bactobio, Rekha works within the Microbial Generation and Compound Discovery Team to help culture microbial isolates and screen these isolates for novel antimicrobial compounds.
In her spare time, Rekha enjoys baking, reading, and dancing.
