Dr Lois Ogunlana

Scientist

Lois studied Biotechnology at the University of Edinburgh before doing her PhD at the University of Oxford. As part of Prof. Craig MacLean's lab, she researched the evolutionary processes behind the maintenance of antibiotic resistance genes. Her research focused on the genetic and phenotypic effects of mobile colistin resistance in E. coli hosts.


At Bactobio, Lois is working on the microbial generation platform and developing strains for the production of key metabolites.


Outside of work, Lois enjoys baking, choral singing and playing board games.
